TIDE 2.0 Seed Fund Scheme
The Technology Incubation and Development of Entrepreneurs (TIDE) 2.0 scheme is a government-funded program that aims to promote tech entrepreneurship in India. The scheme provides financial and technical support to incubators that are engaged in supporting ICT startups, primarily those that use emerging technologies such as IoT, AI, blockchain, and robotics. The scheme also aims to create a holistic ecosystem for technology startups by identifying and creating necessary linkages.
The TIDE 2.0 scheme is being implemented through 51 incubators in India. These incubators will be provided with financial support to cover their operational costs, as well as technical support in the form of mentorship, training, and access to resources. The incubators will also be able to access the MSH (MeitY Startup Hub), which will provide them with a platform to collaborate with other incubators, industry bodies, and government agencies.
The TIDE 2.0 scheme is expected to have a significant impact on the Indian startup ecosystem. It is expected to help create a more conducive environment for startups to thrive and to accelerate the growth of the Indian startup industry.
PIEDS is a partner incubator under the TIDE 2.0 Scheme, an initiative of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. Under this scheme, eligible startups get up to Rs. 4 Lacs as grant or Rs. 7 Lacs in Entrepreneur-In-Residence (EIR) category, for working on building cutting-edge technology and solutions.
