NIDHI Seed Support Program (NIDHI-SSP)

The NIDHI Seed Support Program (NIDHI-SSP) provides financial assistance of up to ₹100 lakhs per startup. It supports proof of concept, prototype development, product trials, market entry, and commercialization. Startups also receive mentorship, training, and networking opportunities.

Eligible startups must be incubated at a recognized incubator, have a team of at least two members, and a clear business plan with a product prototype. The application process is online with a typical deadline in March.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

  • The incubatee must be a registered company in India and have a minimum of three months of residency at PIEDS at the time of investment.
  • The incubatee must be an Indian startup and not an Indian subsidiary of an MNC or foreign company. Individuals with OCI or PIO status will be considered Indian citizens for this scheme.
  • The Indian promoters in the startup must hold at least 51% of the shares.

TYPICAL TERMS FOR SEED FUNDING:

  • Seed support can be provided as debt, equity, or a combination of both to deserving incubatees.
  • The investment amount can be up to Rs. 1 crore
  • The startup should be a resident incubatee of PIEDS at the time of investment.
