What The Program Did
The Kaushalta se Udyamita: Navonmesh Protsahan Spardha programme was a business plan challenge designed to foster innovation and entrepreneurship among students of National Skill Training Institutes (NSTIs) and recent alumni. This initiative aims to empower students to develop innovative solutions for business and societal challenges. Implemented jointly by DGT/MSDE and PIEDS, BITS Pilani, with CSR support from Aditya Birla Capital Foundation (ABCF), the programme provided structured training in business model development, market validation, mentorship, and seed funding opportunities.

GreenPulse is a smart Plant AI is an intelligent IoT and AI-powered crop health monitoring and automated irrigation ecosystem designed to significantly improve agricultural productivity while reducing resource consumption. The solution integrates advanced sensing technology—including microcontroller, soil moisture, sensors—to continuously capture real-time environmental, nutrient, and movement data. This information is processed through a proprietary AI health-scoring engine that categorizes plant condition as GOOD, MODERATE, or POOR, enabling farmers to take timely, data-driven decisions.

The team initiate to test the MPV of a Password Based Circuit Breaker, a smart electrical safety system that enables secure and immediate power shutdown using password authentication. The solution enhances operational safety for linemen, reduces dependency on manual coordination with power stations, and helps prevent fatal electrical accidents during maintenance activities.

Urban areas often face challenges related to overflowing dustbins, inefficient waste collection, and unhygienic surroundings caused by delayed cleaning operations.
Through the Navonmesh Protsahan Spardha Program, PIEDS supported Anita Dadwal and team from NSTI Ludhiana with mentorship, business model canvas training and Market validation, Pitch deck support to strengthen their smart city waste management solution.
The team initiate to develop a Smart Dustbin System equipped with sensors that monitor garbage levels and automatically notify authorities when bins reach 90% capacity. The solution helps prevent waste overflow, improves waste collection efficiency, and supports cleaner and healthier urban environments through smart waste management practices.
